Professor and former Chairman of Law, University of Dhaka; recipient of the ‘Best Law Teacher in South Asia’ Award-2010, a Fulbright scholar, Visiting Professor, Umeo University, Sweden, University of Oslo, Norway, founder coordinator of Professional Legal Education in Bangladesh (Continuing Legal Education Programme of the Bangladesh Bar Council); pioneer in curriculum designing and introduction of Clinical Legal Education in Bangladesh; pioneer of Street Law in Bangladesh; Joint Coordinator of the Lawclinic (Clinical Legal Education Programme of the Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh); acclaimed as one of the Best Human Rights educationists in the country by advocates-participants of the Human Rights Training Programme for Lawyers (HRTP offered by the Bangladesh Bar Council); experienced in institution building, former consultant to UNICEF, former consultant to ILO, UNDP, The World Bank, national consultant to GOB, former consultant to GOB on Child Policy, consultant to the Ford Foundation (USA), consultant to Soros Foundation (USA), consultant to Save the Children-UK, Save the Children-Denmark, NORAD, the European Commission etc. with a brilliant academic record having never stood second in life.
